Magherafelt Parish Centre

This contemporary design for Magherafelt Parish Centre bookends the adjoining terrace and enjoys a direct visual relationship with the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption opposite. The natural topography of the site has been utilised in the split-level design to ensure the scale and massing of the building fits harmoniously with its surrounding context.

The centre's brief prioritized three primary activity hubs, each capable of functioning independently. The Pastoral Centre and coffee shop, accessible at street level, serve as daily gathering spaces for the local community. The multipurpose area on the first floor accommodates concerts, performances, classes, and workshops. Additionally the long standing presence of Magherafelt Snooker Club on the former site was respected and incorporated independently into the complex, accessed from the rear car park.
