This project involved the transformation of a detached family home in Surrey, enhancing its connection to the picturesque countryside views on both the front and rear sides of the property. Through the incorporation of curtain wall glazing, scissor doors, and a clever porte-cochere link addition to the existing garage, the design maximizes the visual appeal of the surrounding landscape.

The renovation included a complete overhaul of the interiors of the original 1958 property, resulting in a spacious open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area oriented to overlook the elongated rear garden. On the first floor, the accommodation integrates with voids over the hall and dining areas. The extension, clad with Iroko, incorporates reclaimed buff brickwork and standing seam zinc details, seamlessly blending with the original building despite their differing styles.
