Black Mountain Shared Space Project

McGurk Architects successfully obtained planning approval for this community building, aimed at fostering cross-community relations in the Upper Springfield/Upper Shankill area of Belfast. The project is strategically designed to introduce new opportunities and resources to the local community, offering spaces dedicated to enterprise, business, performing arts, education, leisure, work, and recreation. It seeks to maximize the area's potential and provide avenues for learning and development irrespective of age, race, creed, or background.

The entrance concourse serves as a vibrant and welcoming area, strategically oriented to offer sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. It provides ample space for social interaction, facilitating the exchange of ideas, interests, and opinions among community members.
