Newry, County Down

Bespoke Residential

This alteration, extension and renovation of a 1950’s dwelling in Newry modernises a dated detached house into a modern family home. The green roof extension houses an open plan kitchen, living and dining area with new level access, accessible WC and shower with a functional utility room. The south facing extension makes the most of available natural light with roof lights and large glazed doors which open out onto the garden. Standing seam zinc on link walls and first floor dormer are paired with long format Roman bed brick, giving the extension a fresh differentiation from the existing imperial red brick building.
