Lough Neagh Quay
Planning constraints on this lakeside located dwelling necessitated a traditional rural frontage, facing the main road. The rear of the property, on the other hand, is uncompromisingly modern and opens upwards and out onto the Lough Neagh shoreline.
Views of the lough are visible from the entrance hall and beyond as one ascends the spacious stair to the open plan kitchen, living and dining space half a level up. Panoramic curtain walling glazing captures the picturesque views in a light-filled interior. The dining space, located off to the side, cantilevers over a water feature, whilst the living space opens out onto a covered outdoor patio area.
A traditional and natural material palette of stone, timber and zinc was used throughout in keeping with the rural and natural tones of the shoreline.
