Logan’s Complex Cloughmills
Established in 1984, Logan’s Fashions is located between the Killagan and Frosses Roads on the A26. It is the principal route from Belfast and Antrim to Coleraine, and onwards to the north coast, bypassing Ballymena and Ballymoney en route. Seven kilometres of the A26 Glarryford to Drones Road near Ballymoney has recently been subject to major upgrade works to convert the single lane traffic to dual lane between March 2015 and June 2017.
Logan’s Complex has capitalised on this opportunity for increased business by developing their site to make the most of the intensified traffic flow. McGurk Architects completed a £2 million upgrade and extension of the main shopping store on the site in 2011.
The revamped building features classical styling and proportions in a rendered finish. Accommodation includes retail units, finance and business suites, and a first floor café and restaurant. Outbuildings contain various uses, ranging from industrial units to a car show sales area, a garden centre and some light engineering businesses.
In 2017, McGurk Architects master planned the entirety of the grounds of the Logan’s complex to capitalise upon the existing level levels of footfall on the site. The approved plan includes a drive through fast food restaurant, a fuel filling station and a car show room along with upgrades to the existing internal road layout and parking arrangements.
