This Palladin styled villa on the edge of Magherafelt fronts eastwards onto a tree-lined avenue off the western approach into the town from the village of Desertmartin.
The imposing residence’s front elevation’s portico leads to the classically designed central circulation hall, off which the principal spaces in the villa access. On the southwest corner of the square floor plan at ground level, the open plan kitchen/family room avails of sun from early morning to late evening and panoramic views of the Sperrins to the southwest and north. Period details such as the pocket doors between the dinette and the formal dining area and a central atrium roof-light are highlights of this design by McGurk Architects.
At second floor level, a patio door from a leaded dormer set into the mansard roofscape unveils the breath-taking scenery of the eastern edge of the Sperrins.
